My New Job, how to act?

So the first time at the new job; what is the perfect attitude to have?

Is it mellow and conservative?

Is it excited and happy, with a twist of a few smiles?

Or, do you come off being more nervous and scared as the day you transfered your last or quit your last job?

.... to me that's a good question since the first day is usually the day that sets the tone for the way they see you throughout your time employeed. At least that's what I believe to be true. I know they're opinions can and will possibly change with spicific events; but that initial glance is your palete for success or struggle.

So how do you take that first day?

I'm curious what you think since i know everone is different. Knowing what you do may help me the next time I make a career change.

What if your boss is "shady", what if they come off as selfish and self-centered. How do you react, knowing they might "stap-you-in-the-back" or possibly help you?

I feel my boss is not really there for the team but still have to stay on her good side. Have you ever had a boss like that. Never shows up and when she does can never be found.

Sometimes I tell myself, "As long as she's not around, I know i won't be bothered and I know the job will get done." Do you think this is the right thing to think or would you try to report or investigate her where abouts?
